Dr. Joshua Vest
Joshua Vest, PhD, MPH is the Director of the CHP. With the support of faculty collaborators, highly skilled staff, and dedicated research associates, he guides the Center in conducting high quality research and program evaluation in the areas of health policy, population & public health, and health organization performance.
Dr. Vest is a health services researcher and most of his work has focused on the organizational determinants, application, and effectiveness of health information technology.
His work includes both quantitative methods to large-scale health data and qualitative methods. He has worked collaboratively with hospitals, health systems, health information organizations, payers, public health departments, and other organizations on a variety of projects.
Dr. Vest is an Associate Professor in the Health Policy and Management Department of the Indiana University Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health at IUPUI and an Affiliated Scientist with the Regenstrief Institute, Inc. He completed his PhD in Health Services Research at Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health with a concentration in Organizational Theory and received his MPH from Saint Louis University. He has also served in state and local public health departments.
