The Fairbanks Fridays program is a series of virtual events where a student moderator will host an alumni presenting research around public health or health administration in an interview-style presentation.
The sessions are intended to be engaging and informative for FSPH alumni, faculty, students and stakeholders. All student moderators will complete a short application and will be selected by the FSPH Alumni Board.
For participating, student moderators will receive a $250 stipend that will be transferred to their bursar account after the virtual event.
For the fall 2025 event, applications are due by October 31 as the FSPH Alumni Board will select and notify the student by November 6.
Once students are selected, they will work with Molly Overbey, director of development, and the alumni through a practice run prior to the event.
Students not selected will have a future opportunity to reapply for the next Fairbanks Friday event in the spring 2026 semester (date TBD).
